Basics: Atlantic Canadian. Lifelong fangirl, now in my 40s. She/Her. Married. Demisexual. White.
Personality: Friendly and excited to talk about fannish things, but also a shy introvert with anxiety. Enneagram type 4x5.
Fannish engagement: I'm serially monofannish and tend to stay with one primary fandom for years. Fortunately, I also love fandom in general and love lots of stories that I might never call myself fannish about, and I get to enjoy seeing other people's joy, creativity, and meta about them. That said, I'm very spoiler avoidant, so I really appreciate it when people tag in a way that lets me know not to click through to spoilery things.
I'm generally not a fast writer, but writing fanfic has been my main form of active fannish engagement since day 1, even when I'm otherwise more of a lurker. [See also: shy/anxious/introverted.]
Social media/contact: Some of my social media is locked, but I love meeting likeminded fans! (I made this Carrd in large part because my Twitter account is locked and the bio space provided isn't enough to tell people if they know me or want to know me.)
I have zero time/patience for bigotry, injustice, or intolerance on any axis. I'm working to be a better ally (and am open to criticism/correction when I inevitably fuck up).
I'm not here to be anyone's mom, so manage your own online experience, kids. You're the only ones who can.
I'm enough of a cat person that it gets its own bullet point. Spouse and I live with one Siberian cat, Jinksy. (We also had his littermate Claudia until her death in early 2020.) Siberians are hypoallergenic, and I'm happy to talk to anyone who might find more information about that useful.
